Strider leads Panthers in Shen dual

Kennedy Strider aims for the hole Tuesday in a home dual against Shenandoah.

The Panthers hosted the Shenandoah Fillies Friday in a girls golf dual, falling 243-197 as the Shen girls posted the top five performances of the day.

Winning the event was Sarah Pickens who shot a 44. Creston was led by junior Golfing with Pickens, Kennedy Strider whose 55 was the low mark for the Panthers. Outside of a tough showing on hole 8, Strider performed her best in the back half of the nine.

Sophomore Ricci Johnston was also in the group with Pickens and Strider and finished second for the Panthers with a 60. Her best performance was on the final hole where she made par.

Junior Nora Barton finished strong, logging a par on her final hole, but ran into troubles on the green on a few holes, bringing her score higher. Brooke Huck shot a 66 and Isabella Spencer posted a 73.

Monday the Panthers competed at the Hawkeye 10 tournament at St. Albert where they placed 10th. Johnston led scoring for Creston, placing 22nd with a score of 100.
