Accident: Semi hits car during lane change

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Satuday morning in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:38 a.m. a 1996 Freightliner semi, driven by Clint M. Travis, 46, of Macksburg, was traveling in the inside lane, eastbound on Highway 34. While moving to the outside lane, the semi hit a 2025 KIA Sorento, driven by Anna L. Armstrong, 38, of Corning, who was also eastbound.

Travis said he looked but did not see any other traffic while changing lanes. The KIA went off the roadway into the grass before coming to rest.

Damage to the KIA was estimated at $1,500. No damage was reported to the semi.
