August 2020 Chamber happenings

Iowa Tax Free Holiday takes place Aug. 7 and 8

The Iowa Tax Free Holiday will kicks off this weekend Aug. 7 and continues Aug. 8 citywide. The great bargains that can be found throughout Creston on both days along with tax free items can certainly make for some great shopping. Hopefully many are planning on taking advantage of the savings.

The annual Iowa Tax Free Holiday Weekend is when no tax is collected on sales of clothing, footwear and other related items during this time on articles priced under $100.

Please shop Creston and enjoy the savings.

Party in the Park is scheduled for Aug. 15 at McKinley Park.

The Annual Party in the Park will be held from 6 to 11:30 p.m. at McKinley Park. The featured artists will be the i-Berrys with former Creston resident Roger Hulett a member of the group. Prior to the iBerrys playing, the local band Off the Cuff will perform. Admission is $20 at the door, $15 in advance. Tickets are available at the Creston News Advertiser, Jane Brown PT, Stalker Chevrolet, Hy-Vee and A&G Restaurant and Lounge. For more information please visit McKinley Park Restoration’s Facebook Page.

Please visit the Chamber Home Page website at www.crestoniowachamber.com for more information on other activities and events taking place during the month.
