Hunter L. Pearce, 23, of Mount Ayr, was taken into custody 4:15 a.m. May 25 on the charges of eluding and driving while suspended. He was additionally cited for failure to file SR-22 insurance, speeding and fraudulent use of registration plates.
According to Ringgold County reports, at approximately 8:34 p.m. May 24 a 1995 GMC Sierra was observed northbound on Highway 169N, traveling 67 mph in a 55 mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated but the GMC did not stop. Deputies then initiated a pursuit as the GMC turned onto 260th Street and then onto 220th Avenue. The deputy’s patrol unit sustained damage from debris in the roadway on 220th Avenue, causing the pursuit to be terminated. The GMC was observed continuing onto 270th Street then Highway P46 northbound toward Mount Ayr.
Pearce was named as the suspected driver of the GMC and was questioned the following day. He admitted to the incident and said he “freaked out” because his driver’s license was suspended and he didn’t have insurance on the truck. The GMC was located in Pearce’s garage.
Pearce was transported to the Ringgold County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,300 cash bond.

Amy M. Stiner, 52, of Lenox, turned herself into the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office May 25 for a Ringgold County warrant charging her with theft, second degree.
According to Ringgold County reports, on March 18 a report was received that stolen items, believed to be taken from Ramsey Farms in 2025, were located in an abandoned storage unit in Mount Ayr. The storage unit had been rented by Stiner since at least August 2025.
The located items were confirmed to belong to Ramsey Farms and were valued at approximately $4,100.
Stiner was transported to the Ringgold County Jail where she was released from after posting $5,000 cash or surety bond.

Javier A. Galaviz, 24, of Winterset, was taken into custody May 26 on the charge of driving while suspended.
According to Ringgold County reports, at approximately 7:13 p.m. Galaviz was observed driving a 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis on Highway 169N. Galaviz was discovered to have a suspended driver’s license.
Galaviz was transported to the Ringgold County Jail and held on $300 cash-only bond.
