Mount Ayr won both duals and claimed one medalist honor in Friday’s dual meet on Creston’s senior night Friday at Crestmoor Golf Club.
Creston’s Marshall Long was boys medalist with a 40, edging Mount Ayr’s Avery Wolfe at 41. Garrett Troutwine had a 44 for the Panthers. Javin Hyde of Creston and Mount Ayr’s Carter Levine each shot 44 in the JV competition.

On the girls side, Mount Ayr defending state champion Jaylee Shaffer shot a one-over par 38 as medalist and teammate Izzy Gilbertson shot 48 as runner-up. Creston’s Ricci Johnston was one stroke back at 49.

Seniors honored prior to the meet were Izzy Spencer, Chasse Downing, Ethan Holliday, Marshall Long, Kylen Parsons, Gabe Blazek and Kaizer Smith.
Creston teams participated in Atlantic Tuesday before the boys travel to Denison Wednesday for the Hawkeye Ten Tournament.
