An 18-year-old Creston man reportedly admitted to sexually assaulting an unconscious victim multiple times over the course of several months. .

Peter A. Longoria, of Creston, was taken into custody March 5 on a Union County warrant for the charge of sexual assault, third degree, a Class C felony, after police say he knowingly performed a sex act on someone suffering from a mental defect or incapacity, rendering them unable to provide consent.

During an interview with police in February, Longoria admitted to performing sex acts against the victim’s will at least five or six times while the victim was in a deep state of sleep from prescription drugs between Dec. 25, 2025, and Feb. 11.

According to trial information filed in Union County District Court March 13, Union County Attorney Shane O’Toole added charges of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and domestic abuse while displaying a dangerous weapon, both aggravated misdemeanors.

O’Toole noted on or about Feb. 11, Longoria committed an act that was either intended to cause pain or injury or to result in physical contact which would be insulting or offensive, all with the intent to commit a sexual act. On the same date, Longoria displayed a knife in a threatening manner toward another member of his household.

Longoria posted $10,000 cash or surety bond March 10 and entered a plea of not guilty to all charges via written arraignment March 27. He was advised of a pretrial conference set for May 1. He did not appear, and a bench warrant for failure to appear and bond forfeiture was issued. Longoria was arrested on the warrant the same day by Creston Police. He was transported to the Union County Jail and is being held on $14,000 cash-only bond.

A status conference on the case is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. May 8, in Union County District Court.
