No injuries were reported Thursday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:32 p.m. a 2023 Jeep, driven by Jon Moberg, 83, of Creston, was southbound on Wyoming Avenue when it was struck by a 2016 Chrysler 300, driven by Miguel A. Castillo.
Castillo, who was leaving the McDonald’s parking lot entering Wyoming Avenue at the time of the collision, said he hit the vehicle’s brakes but it did not stop.
Damages to the Chrysler and Jeep were estimated at $1,000 each.
Castillo was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.

Reckless driving by an Afton man Friday resulted in a one-vehicle accident.
According to a Union County report, at approximately 9:08 p.m. a 2005 Dodge Dakota, driven by Kody S. Exline, 19, of Afton, was eastbound on REA Road, just west of Osage Street, when Exline lost control of the truck.
Exline, who was driving too fast, failed to maneuver the S-curves and entered the south ditch, where the truck came to rest on the driver’s side.
Damage to the Dakota was estimated at $2,000.
