Steven Siefkas

Steven Charles Siefkas, 60, of Osceola died Sunday, July 15, 2018, at his home in Osceola.

Funeral services were at noon Friday, July 20, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., in Osceola with the Rev. Phil Butler officiating. Visitation with family present was prior to the services from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Steven Charles Siefkas, son of Robert Earl Siefkas and Marilyn Anne Patterson Siefkas, was born June 20, 1958, in Osceola. Steve graduated from Clarke Community High School and attended DMACC. He lived several years in the Colfax-Mingo area, and returned to Osceola in 2004.

Steve had recently been attending First Friends Church in Grinnell.

Steven is survived by his daughter Melody (John) DeFilippo of Monument, Colorado, and granddaughters, Cora and Arya DeFilippo; son Kurt Siefkas of Grinnell and grandson, Tobias “Toby” Siefkas; and brothers, Bill (Connie) Siefkas of Knoxville, Jim (Crystal) Siefkas of Osceola and Mike Siefkas of Clive.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Marilyn Siefkas.
