Halsie Barnes jersey to be retired Saturday

As a part of 2024 Pay it Forward (PIF) Week, a jersey retirement ceremony will be held for former student-athlete and Spartan first baseman Halsie Barnes of Tingley, on Saturday, April 27, 2024, during the softball games vs. Southeastern.

Schedule has changed due to weather.

10:30 a.m. - Halsie Barnes jersey retirement ceremony at Spartan softball field

11 a.m. - Spartan softball vs. Southeastern begins

11 a.m. – Barbeque lunch will be served during game onr.

Barnes, Ella Leonard, and Maddie Stewart, all SWCC student-athletes, sustained fatal injuries in a car accident on July 21, 2023, near Afton.
