Brandon E. Rudolf, 48, of Peru, was taken into custody May 12, on a Union County warrant for the charge of violation of probation.
According to a Department of Correctional Services document, Rudolf was convicted of OWI, first offense and received a suspended sentence with one-year of probation June 13, 2024.
Rudolf is said to have violated the terms of his probation Dec. 17, 2024, and Jan. 3, 2025, when he missed scheduled appointments with his supervising agent. Rudolf also did not complete a court-ordered Drinking Drivers course and has not made any payments toward court-ordered financial obligations or supervision fees.
Rudolf was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Amber N. Shields, 41, of Shannon City, was taken into custody May 12 on the charges of operating without an interlock, driving while license revoked and OWI - third or subsequent offense.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:46 a.m. a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan was stopped at Townline and Cherry streets due to the driver, identified as Shields, being known by officers to have a revoked driver’s license.
Contact was made with Shields, who had smelled strongly of alcohol and had thick, slurred speech.
When asked for her driver’s license, insurance and registration, Shields provided various other documents instead of what was requested. She refused field sobriety testing, and a preliminary breath test at the scene. She later refused to provide a breath specimen for chemical testing.
Shields has two prior OWI convictions Jan. 8 in Union County.
Shields was transported to the Union County Jail and held on $3,000 cash or surety bond.

Kyle D. Hoadley, 37, of Creston, was taken into custody May 12 on the charges of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:46 a.m. a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan was stopped for being operated by a driver known to have a revoked driver’s license.
During the stop, an open container of beer was observed in plain view in the center console of the Dodge, leading officers to conduct a probable cause search. A passenger, identified as Hoadley, was found to be in possession of a glass methamphetamine pipe which contained a thick, burnt white residue.
After being taken into custody, Hoadley was also found to be in possession of a THC Vape.
He has one prior conviction for possession of marijuana, Sept. 6, 2016, in Union County.
Hoadley was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.

Trisha J. Johnston, 42, of Creston, was taken into custody May 14 on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, second offense and driving while barred - habitual offender.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 4:39 p.m. a 2010 Mazda M3S was stopped on Adams Street for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Johnston who was confirmed to have a barred driver’s license.
Johnston was asked to empty her pockets and presented a single hydrocodone pill, which is a Schedule II controlled substance, in a small baggie.
A probable cause search was then conducted and produced multiple syringes, including a used syringe which was located in a a bag with documents belonging to Johnston. Johnston admitted the syringes were for methamphetamine use but denied them being hers.
Johnston was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $4,300 cash or surety bond.

Jonah L. Kirsch, 26, of Clarinda, was taken into custody May 14 on the charge of driving while barred - habitual offender.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 9:28 a.m. a 2008 Chevrolet Impala was stopped at Patriotic Parkway for multiple equipment violations.
Contact was made with the driver, identified as Kirsch, who was found to have a barred driver’s license. Kirsch made multiple statements about knowing he was not supposed to be driving.
Kirsch was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.

Waymond L. Foster Sr., 38, residence unknown, was taken into custody May 17 on the charges of interference with official acts and trespass, first offense.
Details of the charges were not available.
