Joleen M. Most, 47, of Bedford, was taken into custody at 2 a.m. May 5 on the charges of possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense; possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, third or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Ringgold County reports, at approximately 12:47 a.m. a 2006 Ford Freestar was stopped on Highway 2 after it was observed traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Most, who told deputies she was coming from working in Creston.
The odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle. Most denied having any marijuana in the vehicle but admitted to smoking marijuana before leaving.
A probable cause search was conducted. Deputies located a bag containing a mirror with a white crystalline substance on it, a glass pipe with white residue and a small baggie containing a crystalline substance, which later field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Also found in the vehicle was a single marijuana roach in the cup holder between the driver and passenger seats, a marijuana pipe, a small baggie of suspected marijuana, a tin container with additional roaches and a full joint. The suspected marijuana later field-tested positive as having a THC concentration above .3%.
Most has prior convictions for marijuana possession in Adams County in December 2019 and in Ringgold County in August 2019.
She was transported to the Ringgold County Jail where she was released from after posting $7,300 cash or surety bond.
