David J. Downey, 35, of Afton, was taken into custody April 1 in the 400 block of South Pine Street on the charge of violation of a protective/no contact order.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 8:58 p.m. an incomplete 911 call was received from a residence on South Pine Street.
When police arrived, they heard a male, later identified as Downey, yelling inside the house. A female answered the door and told police she and Downey had been arguing.
It was discovered that an active no-contact order existed between them, with the female being the protected party.
Downey made statements about knowing the order was active but said he is out the house regularly.
Downey was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.
