Shane E. Davis, 49, of Stuart, was taken into custody 5:51 p.m. Feb. 23 in the 500 block of South Division Street in Stuart on the charge of driving while barred.
According to a Stuart police report, at approximately 5:26 p.m. a 2007 Honda Accord was observed operating with tags that appeared to be expired. The Honda turned into a parking lot and a male, later identified as Davis, exited the vehicle as officers drove by to get the license plate information.
The vehicle tags were found to have expired in October 2025. Officers circled back and made contact with Davis, who was standing outside. Davis admitted to driving the Honda and to having a barred driver’s license, which was confirmed by officers.
Davis was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.

Taylor K. Flanery, 28, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 9 a.m. Feb. 27 at the Adair County Courthouse on an Adair County warrant for the charges of assault on persons in certain occupations causing bodily injury and intent to remove radio from an officer.
According to a Greenfield Police report, at approximately 2:50 p.m. Jan. 12, officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant from Dallas County on Flanery at a residence on Southwest Jackson Street in Greenfield.
As Flanery was taken into custody, she resisted and threw her arms, erratically striking an officer and Adair County deputy with open-hand and closed-fist punches. Flanery also kicked both law enforcement officers multiple times in the face and body and spit in the face and eyes of an officer.
While attempting to secure Flanery into a patrol vehicle, Flanery grabbed the officers radio and refused to let it go. Officers had to unscrew the radio microphone and move it to their back, causing it be useless for communication.
Flanery was transported to the Adair County Jail where she was released from after posting $10,000 cash or surety bond.

Douglas E. Woodward, 40, of Pleasant Hill, was taken into custody 7:11 p.m. Feb. 28, at the Guthrie/Adair county line on an Adair County warrant for the charge of failure to appear on the original charge of driving while barred.
According to an Adair County District Court document, Woodward was ordered to appear Jan. 22 in court for an initial appearance on the original charge and did not.
Woodward was transported to the Adair County Jail where he was released from after posting $2,000 cash or surety bond.
