Adair County: Creston man charged with stalking, harassment

James A. Davis, 39, of Creston, was taken into custody 2:43 p.m. Oct. 27, on an Adair County warrant for the charges of stalking -using technological device and harassment, first degree.

According to Adair County District Court documents, between July 9 and Aug. 1 Davis purposefully and repeatedly engaged in conduct directed at the victim, causing the victim to feel terrorized, frightened, intimidated or threatened or to fear that Davis intended to cause harm or death to the victim or the victim’s family, while using a technological device.

Also during the same time frame, Davis purposefully and without legitimate purpose, communicated with the victim in a manner likely to cause the victim annoyance or harm and in that communication threatened to commit a forcible felony.

Davis was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $5,000 cash or surety bond.
