No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 6:04 p.m. a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Paula K. Crow, 49, of Creston, was turning east onto Devoe Street from the south end of the parking lot of Casey’s General Store, 903 N. Sumner Avenue. Crow did not see any traffic and pulled out in front of a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by John D. Raddatz, 59, of Creston, who was westbound on Devoe Street.

Raddatz did not have to avoid the Jeep and the two vehicles struck each other.

Damages to the Jeep and the Chevrolet were estimated at $1,500 each.

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:28 a.m. a 2013 Ford Explorer, driven by Larry Fernandez III, 24, of Creston, was reported to have hit a pole in the parking lot of True Value Hardware, 801 W. Townline Street, next to the building.

Fernandez then drove to the 1200 block of North Spruce Street, where he parked in front of a driveway and struck a trash can.

Officers observed fluid and red paint transfer on a pole supporting the overhang of the True Value store and were able to following the fluid trail which went across the parking lot, over a curb, turned east onto Townline Street and then south onto Spruce Street and ended at the Explorer’s location.

Fernandez admitted to officers he had been drinking and was subsequently taken into custody for OWI.

Damage to True Value property was estimated at $2,500 and damage to the Explorer was estimated at $5,000.
