Georjiarain A. McKown, 22, and Kimberlyn C. Bakerink, 24, both of Creston, were taken into custody at approximately 6:20p.m. Oct. 17 at their residence on a Union County warrants for the charge of assault causing bodily injury.

According to a Creston Police report, on Oct. 9 a female reported she had been assaulted by three females at approximately 12:01 a.m. Oct. 8 at The Lobby. The victim stated she walked out of the restroom at the bar and saw her boyfriend in an altercation with McKown and attempted to break it up. The victim said she was then attacked and assaulted by the women.

Video footage from the bar showed Bakerink attacking the victim and McKown pulling the victim to the ground and kicking her. The victim reported injuries sustained from the assault included a broken nose and various bruises, scratches and scrapes.

McKown and Bakerink were transported to the Union County Jail where they were released from after each posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.

William A. D. Bell, 32, of Creston, was taken into custody 9:33 p.m. Oct. 17 in the 600 block of Grand Avenue on a warrant from New Mexico for the charge of failure to appear on the original charge of robbery.

No information on the original charge is available.

Bell was transported to the Union County Jail and held on $5,000 cash only bond.

Cory A. Gaunt, 36, of Creston, was taken into custody at approximately 5:50 p.m. Oct. 17 on a Union County warrant for the charge of harassment, third degree.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:07 p.m. Aug. 24, a 2005 Dodge Durango, driven by Gaunt, followed another vehicle around town and to the driver’s residence after being involved in a road rage incident with the intent to threaten, intimidate or alarm the victim.

Gaunt was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $300 cash or surety bond.

Kane N. Bowers, 19, of Creston, was taken into custody at approximately 4:30 p.m. Oct. 17 on a Union County warrant for the charges of assault - simple and criminal mischief, fifth degree.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:07 p.m. Aug. 24, a Ford Bronco driven by Bowers was used at Irving and Walnut streets to intentionally ram a 2005 Dodge Durango from behind following a road rage incident between the driver of the Durango and Bowers’ mother. The incident caused less than $300 in damage to the Durango.

Bowers was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $600 cash or surety bond.
