A Creston man was cited Monday following a two-vehicle accident.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:49 p.m. May 22, a 2000 Saturn LS1, driven by Jerrie Boothe, 27, of Creston was westbound on Taylor Street at the Sumner Street intersection where Boothe proceeded south when she was struck on the front passenger side by a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Jose Carreon, 27, of Creston who was eastbound on Taylor Street. Boothe looked but did not see the oncoming vehicle and failed to yield the right of way when turning.

Boothe complained of neck pain and was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health. Carreon was uninjured.

Damage to the Saturn and the Chevrolet were estimated at $1,500 each. Carreon was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability (no insurance).
