Jason G. Bearden

Jason G. Bearden, 56, of Greenfield, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 9, 2026. A former resident of Creston, Jason was born on May 8, 1970, to the late Lana Sue Bearden and Allen Elmer Bearden.

Jason graduated from Creston High School in 1988 where he played basketball and football. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Buena Vista University through the Southwestern Community College program. An avid sports fan, Jason spent many weekends rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He was very close to his mother and loved playing and spending time with his dogs.

Jason was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle Craig Blazek.

He is remembered by his son Alex; his sister Stephanie and his extended family.

A private graveside service for his family was held in Graceland Cemetery in Creston. Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center was in charge of the arrangements.
