Robert Campbell II, 37, of Creston, died Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Greater Regional Health in Creston.

Robert Campbell II, 37, of Creston, died Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Greater Regional Health in Creston. Celebration of Life Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 12 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Open visitation will be 2-7 p.m., with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at Powers Funeral Home.

Robert Dean Campbell II, was born Nov. 21, 1986, to Robert Dean Campbell and Theresa Owen in Rogers, Arkansas. Robert graduated from Southeast Polk High School in 2006. He continued his education at Iowa State University under a Tae Kwon Do scholarship and later at Des Moines Area Community College.

Following leaving DMACC, Robert worked as a plumber for 13 years at Cook Plumbing, Premier Plumbing and R & D Plumbing among others while he lived in the Des Moines area, until he moved to Creston in 2017. He left his plumbing career due to health concerns in 2018.

On Sept. 19, 2020, Robert was united in marriage to Rachel Elizabeth Heck at the Thomas Mitchell Park in Mitchellville. He began working for Tractor Supply in Creston as their assembly person in 2023. Robert loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping and anything with his ducks, chickens and dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Heck of Creston; his father, Robert Campbell of Minnesota; his mother, Theresa Owen of Mitchellville; three children: Chase Campbell of Creston, Skyla Campbell and Theia Campbell, both of Maxwell; a brother, Derek Campbell of Council Bluffs and 12 half siblings.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Bowers in 2022 and Baby Campbell in 2019.
