NV keeps improving at Earlham, AC/GC meets

Distance races shine for the Wolverines

Nodaway Valley's Kylie Nelson approaches Emma Boswell on the back exchange zone during a relay at Earlham Tuesday, April 14.

Nodaway Valley’s track and field teams continue turning in faster times and farther distances as the season wears on and the Wolverines are now less than two weeks away from their conference meet, May 4 at Southwest Valley.

Last week, the Wolverines competed in a Tuesday meet at Earlham and a Thursday meet at Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, taking advantage of warmer weather throughout the week.

At AC/GC, the girls were seventh and the boys were eighth. At the Earlham meet, the girls were ninth and the boys were fourth. Both events featured some of the area’s best competitors.

The Wolverines had meets scheduled Monday at Van Meter and Thursday at Martensdale-St. Marys.
