Closeout is expected in May

Greenfield City Council

Officials with the city of Greenfield expect they’ll be able to close out the downtown revitalization project that, thanks to grant money secured in 2023, has brought facade improvements to storefronts on the western half of the public square.

They approved a series of change orders reflecting masonry repairs, storefront adjustments and a door malfunction that were all identified during construction. The net increase was $10,813, which doesn’t impact the schedule of the project, which has hardly required officials to dip into contingency funds built in.

The council additionally went forward with two pay applications on the project, as well as a general accounting expenditure document, or GAX, relating to the project.

In other business, the council:

• approved a pay request to Acterra Group for $7,990 for the airport fueling terminal project
