Swap Meet, garage sales are Sept. 5-7

Treasures to be found in Greenfield

Those searching for a treasure at a reasonable price shouldn’t look any farther than Greenfield next weekend. The town will host the annual Greenfield Swap Meet at the Adair County Fairgrounds as well as several garage sales scattered throughout the community.

Shopping will be open at the swap meet 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday until dusk, with shopping open until vendors begin leaving on Sunday.

Cars, parts, crafts, flea market items and other variety items are available at the swap meet, previously overseen by Early Wheels of Iowa and more recently taken over by a group of Greenfield residents.

There will be several local organizations and food trucks on site providing food and drink.

The gate for vendor setup will open Firday morning as soon as vendors are checked in.

More information available on Facebook by searching Greenfield Swap Meet.

Garage sales may be listed in next week’s edition by emailing cnelson@shawmedia.com. Pre-payment is required. The deadline for next week’s edition is noon Friday, Aug. 29, due to Labor Day Monday.
