Ricky De Hamer, of De Hamer Accounting Services, has acquired Draper, Snodgrass, Mikkelsen and Co. from Iowa State Savings Bank Oct. 2, 2019. De Hamer Accounting Services will be relocating from their office, 914 N. Sumner in Creston, to the existing Draper, Snodgrass, Mikkelsen building at 309 E. Montgomery Street.
Draper, Snodgrass, Mikkelsen and Co. has been providing accounting and tax services in the Creston and southwest Iowa for more than 40 years.
De Hamer grew up in central Iowa and attended Central College in Pella where he received a bachelor fo arts in accounting. After working in corporate accounting for 10 years, De Hamer and his wife Holly (formerly of Creston) decided it was time to come home and start a public accounting firm. He is a licensed public accountant and enrolled agent.
“I am excited to work with the staff at Draper, Snodgrass, Mikkelsen and Co. They have serviced the community faithfully for so long,” said De Hamer. “They have a great level of knowledge and experience.”
