Friday the Panthers hosted a shorthanded Audubon team, coming away with a 9-0 win.
With only four Wheelers to play against, Creston had four athletes play singles and a different four compete in doubles. All matches brought home wins.
“It was nice to get another dual in, and each of our available players were able to get a match,” Coach Kevin Cooper said. “Audubon only had four players today, so we kind of adjusted our lineup.”
In singles, Carson Beer (No. 3) and Dylan Dornack (No. 4) had quick matches, winning 8-1 and 8-0, respectively. Beer defeated senior Karl Nagel while Dornack topped freshman Nathan Campeau.

Wires took a win 8-6 over senior Kayden Otten while Bartlett tied up his match at 7-7, forcing extra games. He won the next two games, taking the 9-7 win over Fred Harris.
In doubles, it was another close one as seniors Ben Rushing and Malachi Webber faced Otten and Harris, but the Creston duo came out on top with an 8-6 victory.
In No. 2 doubles, senior Wyatt Hitz and junior Adam Thompson took town Nagel and Campeau 8-2. No. 5 and 6 singles and No. 3 doubles were all forfeits for the Wheelers.
