Driskell a unanimous first-team selection

Creston’s lead scorer Rhett Driskell splits defenders in a jump shot Tuesday against Maryville. Driskell scored 31.

There were three Hawkeye 10 boys basketball players that everyone agreed were the best of the best in 2025-26 conference play. One of these selections was Creston junior Rhett Driskell.

A 6-3 guard, Driskell was far and away the team’s top performer, averaging 20.1 points per game and 7.1 rebounds. He put up 442 points over the course of 22 games, nearly double his points from a season ago.

Driskell was fourth in the Hawkeye 10 for points, the leader Ryan Clair of Kuemper Catholic having 477 points and also being a unanimous first-team selection.

His 157 rebounds was the high for Creston, ranking him in the top 10 in the conference.

One of Driskell’s greatest contributions to the Panthers was his ability to knock down shots from behind the arc. This season, he made 59 3-pointers, the second most in the Hawkeye 10.

Driskell was 45% from the field and 77% from the free-throw line.
