Spartans honor sophomores

Southwestern honored its six volleyball sophomores prior to Tuesday’s home finale against Western Iowa Tech.

The sophomores are Danica Chamberlain, Skyelar Lawal, Crystle Cordero, Emma Follmann, Abby Eaton and Perkins. Also, Perkins was honored for reaching 1,000 career setting assists as a Spartan.

Western Iowa Tech defeated Southwestern, 25-12, 25-22, 25-19.

The Spartans close the regular season with Thursday’s trip to DMACC and a trip to Waterloo on Oct. 29 to face Hawkeye Community College.
