DENISON — It was a clean 3-0 sweep for the Panthers (6-6, 3-2) against Denison-Schleswig (5-9, 0-4) Thursday on the road.
Creston took games one and three in a dominant fashion, winning 25-11 and 25-8. While the Monarchs made a push in the second game, the Panthers still came away with the 25-22 win.
“In the second game, we let up and just had too many errors,“ coach Naomi Sharp said. ”We were glad to see the girls come back focused in game three.”

Seniors Hollynn Rieck and Jaycee Hanson led the offensive strike for the Panthers, putting up 14 and 12 kills, respectively. Senior Ella Turner added seven of her own.
They were set up by senior Kadley Bailey who logged 30 assists in the Hawkeye 10 matchup.
From the service line, Creston put up seven aces while holding Denison to just three. Panther junior Hope Henderson served a game-high three aces with a 100% success rate.

Senior libero Avery Staver logged a team-high 19 digs. Rieck and Hanson added 11 and 10, respectively.
“Our hitting efficiency was high, which is something we have been focusing on in practice,” Sharp said.
At the net, Braylee Pokorny and Rieck led the Panthers with two blocks each. Bailey and Henderson each added one.
In conference play, the Panthers sit at fifth. Lewis Central and Kuemper Catholic are undefeated in Hawkeye 10 play.
Saturday, Creston lost 2-0 to both Mount Vernon (10-6) and Glenwood (13-10) at the Red Oak tournament.
The Panthers return to action Thursday at Clarinda (13-3, 4-2).
