Panthers sweep Shenandoah

SHENANDOAH — Creston picked up its first Hawkeye Ten victory Thursday at Shenandoah, 25-17, 25-19, 25-13.

The Panthers are now 4-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Jaycee Hanson and Hollynn Rieck each had 7 kills. Kadley Bailey had 7 assists and was 19-19 serving with two aces. Avery Staver led the back row with 13 digs.

Shenandoah fell to 0-2, both Hawkeye Ten matches.

“It was nice to get a Hawkeye Ten win across the board with all three teams (varsity, JV, freshmen),” Creston coach Naomi Sharp said. “We discussed that we still need to clean up our play and be more consistent at the service line.”

The Panthers travel to Lewis Central Tuesday to take on Atlantic and the host Titans.
