IOWA CITY -— In the second inning of a home game against Indiana Saturday, Iowa freshman Jaixen Frost of Mount Ayr hit a two-run homer to put in the first two runs of the game.
The Hawkeyes ended up winning the game 13-2 in seven innings to clinch the series.
“Jaixen Frost had a really good game and got us started with his home run,” coach Rick Heller said.
Frost was two-for-three at bat with two runs and two RBIs.
The game was the Hawkeyes’ eighth Big Ten series win and 30th overall victory this season.
