Creston softball ranked 12th in 4A

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released its second softball rankings Thursday, showing the Panthers holding steady at 12th in 4A.

After falling 4-7 in their season opener against Ames, the Panthers have since outscored their opponents 39-4.

Ames is ranked 14th in Class 5A.

Having defeated their only Hawkeye 10 opponent, Red Oak, the Panthers will look to continue their conference success Monday in Atlantic.

Today, the Panthers face Ankeny Centennial, a team ranked seventh in Class 5A.
