Creston bowlers keep it close with SE Warren

OSCEOLA – Creston girl bowlers were just 90 points behind SE Warren Monday losing 1,928 to 1,848.

Jenna Orr was top scorer for Creston finishing with 308 in the first round of action. She was followed by Jana Peavler, 283; Mica Andreasen, 277; Graceleigh Bolinger, 229 and Paytin smith, 201. Southeast Warren’s high score was 284.

In the baker rotation, Creston scored 563. Southeast Warren’s score was 705.

BOYS

Southeast Warren boys won 2,894 to 2,395. In the first round, Southeast Warren came out on top 1,893 to 1,636. Luke McElwain was top scorer for Creston with 387. He was followed by Caden Briner, 357; Brett Orr, 328; Cash Abildtrup, 318; William Nutt, 246 and Drake Rehmeyer, 240.

In the baker rotation, Southeat Warren won 1,001 to 754.

Creston bowlers were at Lewis Central (Council Bluffs) on Thursday. The team returns to Lewis Central Friday, Feb. 10. The Panthers will be at state qualifying meet Feb. 13, 14 at Newton.
