Panther boy bowlers win at Red Oak

RED OAK – The bakers round sent the Creston boy bowlers to victory Jan. 17 at Red Oak. The team score was 2,315 to 2,236.

“After being behind after round one, the boys bowled very well in the bakers and came back to win the match,” said Creston coach Ron Pendegraft. Creston scored 892 in the baker round to Red Oak’s 726.

In round one, Cain Harmening was high scorer with 376. He was followed by Caden Briner, 274; Brett Orr, 273; Cash Abildtrup, 267; Stepehen Sistad, 233 and Drake Rehmeyer, 202. That totaled 1,423. Red Oak’s high score after round one was 377.

Panther boys are 2-3.

Girls

Creston girls were one short but Penedgraft said they still did well individually. Red Oak girls won 1,872 to 1,441. Creston scored 1,016 in the first round with Mica Andreason having team high of 345. She was followed by Jenna Orr, 272; Jana Peavler, 218 and Graceliegh Bolinger, 181. Red Oak’s high score in round one was 285.

Creston girls are 0-5.

Creston was at Shenandoah Monday. Creston bowls Thursday vs. Knoxville at Oskaloosa.
