The Creston Wrestling Hall of Fame Inductions will be Saturday evening, Nov. 5, 2022, at The Eagles Club in Creston. This year’s CWHOF Inductees will be Dennis Smith, Roger Baker and the Abel Brothers.
CHS/COM Wrestling Team reunions for the graduating years ending in two; 1962, 1972, 1982, 1992, 2002, 2012 will also be held in conjunction with the inductions. Special notice will be given to the 1961-2 team, the first CHS wrestling squad.
Dennis Smith was a two-time State Champion in 1975 and 1976. Roger Baker was an undefeated State Champ in 1983 and Class co-valedictorian. The five Abel Brothers had a great impact on the Panther wrestling squad from 1965 through 1977.
Team Reunions and the Induction Ceremony will begin with a 4 p.m. social, reunion team recognitions, steak or chicken breast meal followed with the induction ceremonies.
