DES MOINES – Creston’s high school archery teams competed at the Bullseye and 3D NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) Tournaments at the Iowa State Fairgrounds over the weekend.
In the Bullseye competition, the team shot 3,144 and finished 26th.
Payton Davis was the highest finishing girls archer with a score of 278, including 12 bullseyes.
Thayer Rooney led the boys team in the Bullseye competition with a score of 274. Rooney also hit 12 bullseyes.
In the 3D competition, three Creston archers competed as individuals.
With a 10th place finish, Lexi Henry was the highest placing girls archer with a score of 284 and 19 bullseyes.
Thayer Rooney finished 68th with a score of 269 and 14 bullseyes.
