Four area players on All-POI softball first team

Lenox’s Stoaks, Mount Ayr’s Reynolds among league’s top pitchers

Nodaway Valley’s Maddax DeVault was named to the All-Pride of Iowa Conference Softball second team, as announced Friday.

DeVault, a shortstop, hit .345, drove in 22 runs, had two homeruns, four doubles and a triple on the season. She was a perfect 27-of-27 in stolen bases to lead the Wolverines.

First team

TJ Stoaks of Lenox and Mount Ayr’s Addy Reynolds were selected as first team pitchers along with Wayne’s Sterling Berndt and Alivia Ruble of Southeast Warren on the All-Pride of Iowa Conference softball honors announced Friday.

Reynolds and Ruble were voted onto the team as utility players and placed in position by their coach on the final release.

Also named to the first team were Mount Ayr infielder Alexa Anderson and East Union’s Noelle McKnight at a utility position.

Catcher — Camryn Jacobsen, Sr., Wayne; Madeline Myer, Sr., Martensdale-St. Marys.

Infield — Emily Jones, Jr., Wayne; Josie Hartman, Jr., SE Warren; Jayda Gay, Sr., Martensdale-St. Marys, (unanimous); Alexa Anderson, Sr., Mount Ayr.

Outfield — Mya Willey, Sr., Wayne, (unanimous); Makayla Ruble, Sr., SE Warren, (unanimous); Jackie Kelve, Jr., Martensdale-St. Marys.

Utility — Noelle McKnight, So., East Union; Campbell German Fr., Martensdale-St. Marys.

Second team

Pitchers — Mallory Raney, Jr., East Union; Kylee Rockhold, Jr., Central Decatur.

Catcher — Sadie Cox, 8th, Lenox; Bre Nolte, So., SE Warren; Vivian Tracy, Sr., Bedford.
