Tigers softball continues with strong season

Lenox took command in the third inning with seven runs on their way to a 14-2 win over visiting Stanton Monday.

Tied at 2 going into Lenox’ half of the third was only the beginning for the Tigers. In the fourth, Lenox put the game away with another five runs scored.

Lenox had 13 hits and 11RBIs and led by TJ Stoaks who had three hits, four RBIs and a home run.

McKinna Hogan, Zoey Reed, Sadie Cox and Brooklynn Ecklin all had two hits.

As a team, Lenox finished with 13 hits, three walks and one strikeout.

Stoaks pitched for Lenox and had six strike outs.

Lenox recovered from an early 2-1 deficit to defeat Central Decatur 10-2 Friday, June 11 in Lenox.

Lenox put up five runs in the second to take the lead, one they would not have threatened.

Sadie Cox had three hits for Lenox with four RBIs and a run scored. As a team, Lenox finished with 14 hits, a walk and five strike outs.

Stoaks struck out 14.

At the John Stephens Tournament in Creston last weekend, Lenox defeated Clarinda 11-1.

TJ Stoaks had two hits with 2 RBIs also threw nine strikeouts and allowed one hit

McKinna Hogan and Sadie Cox each had two hits with 2 RBIS

Lenox finished with 11 hits.

Lenox also defeated Clarke 4-0 in the tournament.

The Tigers had 10 hits. Stoaks had two hits and Zoey Reed had three hits. Sadie Cox and Emilee Reed each had a double.

The Tigers scored all of its five runs in the first three innings on the way to a 5-3 win over CAM June 10 in Lenox. Lenox finished with 12 hits including a home run by McKinna Hogan. That was one of her three hits on the night. Stoaks struck out 15 CAM batters. CAM had three hits and four walks.

Other games last week had Lenox winning two shut outs; 15-0 vs. East Mills and 5-0 over Bedford.

Lenox moves to 14-3 and plays in the Orient-Macksburg tournament Wednesday and Saturday.
