The Creston Police Department responded to 96 calls for service April 6-12, according to the department’s weekly activity report. These calls included, but were not limited to: alarm calls, animal calls, calls for assistance, harassing communications, civil calls and domestic disputes.
Creston officers made 24 traffic stops during the reporting period, issuing 21 warnings and zero citations. A total of five individuals were taken into custody.
Officers took part in firearms night qualifications, emergency vehicle operations course, drug trends and human trafficking awareness presentations and school engagements.
Citizens continue to be encouraged to report suspicious activity and continue working the police to keep Creston a safe place to live and work.
