Accident: Truck reportedly slips out of gear and damages fence

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident April 3 in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 12:44 p.m. a 2014 Ford F150, driven by Ryder L. Sharp 17, of Creston, was westbound on Highway 34 when it hit a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Shane L. Davis, 54, of Osceola.

The Colorado, also westbound, had slowed to turn north onto Sumner Avenue when it was rear-ended by the F150.

Sharp told police he was looking at the light and did not see the Colorado in front of him.

Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $500 each.

A Creston woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident April 3 in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 2:57 p.m. a 1995 Chevrolet pickup struck a fence in the alley on the 500 block between Livingston Street and Wyoming Avenue.

Trisha J. Johnston, 42, of Creston, told officers she was standing in the back of the truck when it slipped out of gear and rolled into the fence. Johnston also reported a leg injury and was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Health.

Damage to the fence was estimated at $1,000 and damage to the pickup was estimated at $500.
