Creston Police: Victim tases loose dog to stop attack

Lucinda D. Jones, 43, of Creston was cited April 2 on the charge of animal at large.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 2:29 p.m. a pit bull belonging to Jones attacked a victim as they walked past Jones’ residence in the roadway.

The dog was tied out on a plastic-covered steel cable which was broken. The victim was able to get the dog away after utilizing a taser to scare the dog.

Jones was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear.
