Accident: A parked car is damaged in a hit-and-run accident

A hit-and-run accident caused $2,500 in damage Monday afternoon in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, sometime between 4-7:40 p.m., an unknown vehicle hit the back of a 2020 Jeep Cherokee while the Jeep was legally parked in the Casey’s parking lot at 903 N. Sumner Ave.

The driver of the vehicle did not report the accident to law enforcement or notify the owner of the vehicle.

Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $2,500.
