Creston Police: Three Creston residents arrested on drug-related charges this weekend

Juan Carlos Troconiz Atencio, 34, of Creston, was taken into custody at 7:15 p.m., Friday, March 27 at the intersection of Townline and Cottonwood streets on the charge of driving while suspended.

Zeven M. Lemon, 20, of Creston, was taken into custody at 10:30 p.m., Friday, March 27 at the intersection of Pine and Townline streets on the charge of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense.

According to a Creston Police report, officers conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Oldsmobile Regency for multiple equipment violations. During the stop, officers observed a black tube with the word “marijuana” on it in plain view in the back seat.

Inside the tube was a 1-gram joint of marijuana. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers located a THC vape. Lemon claimed ownership of both items.

Lemon was cited and released on a summons to appear.

Michaela F. Cooney, 43, of Creston, was taken into custody at 12:17 a.m., Saturday, March 28, at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on an Department of Correctional Services warrant for probation violation. The probation was on the original charges of attempted burglary third - motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, first offense.

According to a Creston Police report, on Aug. 22, 2024, Cooney was in an unoccupied vehicle which did not belong to her and she did not have permission to be inside. She was found to be in possession of a crystalline substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

On Jan. 17, 2025, a judge found Cooney guilty but suspended her sentence should she successfully complete probation. Probation requirements were to pay all court and supervision fees, completely abstain from the consumption of alcoholic beverages and the unauthorized use of controlled substances and submit to a substance abuse evaluation and cooperate with all recommended treatment until maximum benefits are achieved.

On March 20, 2026, the Department of Corrections filed a probation revocation for numerous violations. According to the warrant, Cooney did complete the initial treatment assessment but has not fully engaged in outpatient treatment and continues to test positive for controlled substances. Cooney refused the suggestion for residential treatment. She has not attended treatment sessions in more than a month.

Cooney tested positive for methamphetamine six separate times since September 2025. Two of the tests were also positive for THC and two other tests showed other amphetamines.

Cooney was transported to the Clarke County Jail where she is being held without bond until seeing a magistrate.

Adrian M. Lillie, 18, of Creston, was taken into custody 1:47 a.m., Monday, March 30, at the intersection of Elm and Taylor streets on two warrants — possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a Creston Police report, on Feb. 5, officers conducted a traffic stop on Lillie, knowing he had a barred driver’s license. After Lillie exited the vehicle, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A probable cause search located two THC vapes, a marijuana smoking device, a marijuana roach and a rubber container containing THC wax.

Lillie was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting a $1,300 cash or surety bond.
