Michelle A. Day, 50, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 8:42 p.m. March 10, in the 600 block of Northeast Sixth Street in Greenfield on the charge of assault causing bodily injury.
According to a Greenfield Police report, at approximately 7:43 p.m. officers responded to an assault at Los Altos. Video footage shows Day walking from her table to a group of women at the counter who were paying for their dinner. Day grabbed the arm of one of the women and forced her way into the group before she went out of camera view. Witnesses said Day then scratched the face of the victim.
Scratch marks were observed by police on the victim’s face.
Day was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Alfonso Ramirez-Meneses, 69, of Greenfield, was taken into custody 4:12 a.m. March 11, in the 400 block of North First Street in Greenfield and charged with three counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and three counts of going armed with intent.
According to a Greenfield Police report, at approximately 12:26 a.m. officers responded to a residence for a report of a man threatening others with a knife.
Three individuals at the residence told police that Ramirez-Meneses threatened all of them with a knife while advancing toward them and thrusting the knife at them in a threatening manner. All of the victims reported being in fear for their lives due to his actions.
Ramirez-Meneses was transported to the Adair County Jail and held without bond and an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.
