Lisa J. Squibbs, 37, of Afton, was taken into custody 9:39 a.m. March 13, at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on two Union County warrants for the charges of OWI, first offense and failure to appear on the original charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to an Afton Police report, at approximately 10:32 p.m. Sept. 10, 2025, Squibbs was the driver of a vehicle that stopped behind another vehicle police had pulled over at Highway 169 and Browning Street in Afton. During the investigation, a K-9 was deployed for a free air sniff around both vehicles and gave positive alerts to the presence of the odor of narcotics from both.
A probable cause search was conducted and narcotics and drug paraphernalia were located. Squibbs admitted to smoking marijuana recently and showed clues of impairment during field sobriety testing.
She consented to provide a urine specimen which was sent to the DCI laboratory. A toxicology report was received Oct. 6, 2025, which showed a presence of amphetamines and marijuana metabolites.
According to Union County District Court documents, Squibbs was ordered to appear for a pre-trial conference on the original paraphernalia charge and did not.
Squibbs was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $1,300 cash or surety bond.

Genea C. Moore, 47, of Des Moines, was taken into custody 11:55 p.m. March 13, at Highway 34 and Abell Street on the charge of OWI, first offense.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 11:07 p.m. a 2011 GMC Acadia was observed making an improper turn. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, identified as Moore.
Moore told officers she was trying to get home to Des Moines but her GPS was taking her the wrong way. The odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from her person and she was observed to have bloodshot, watery eyes. Moore admitted to having “a few beers.”
Moore consented to some field sobriety testing and showed clues of impairment. She refused a PBT. Moore was transported to the law center where she consented to provide a breath specimen for chemical testing. The result of test indicated Moore to have a BAC of .181%.
Moore was released from the Union County Jail after posting $1,000 cash or surety bond.
