David A. Mick, 65, of Creston, was cited 8 a.m. March 5, for the charge of failure to abate a nuisance.
According to a Creston Police report, Feb. 4 the city tried to contact a resident in the 800 block of West Summit Street, identified as Mick, because sewage was being allowed to spill out from a clean out pipe onto the ground and a sump pump hose was ran to the street, both violations of city ordinance due to unsanitary disposal. The city was unable to make contact at the time.
Law enforcement later made contact with Mick and advised him of the complaint and the seriousness of the violation. Mick was told he had 10 days to correct the issues. On Feb. 26 the city received additional complaints stating the issues had not been corrected. It was verified by the Creston code compliance officer that sewage was continuing to be spill out onto the property.
Mick was cited and released on a summons to appear.

Christopher A. Pierce, 38, of Creston, was taken into custody 7:35 p.m. March 5 at Poplar and Buckeye streets on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7 p.m. officers stopped a 2003 Jeep Liberty for expired registration tags. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Pierce.
During the stop, Pierce gave officers permission to search the vehicle and advised the location of two pipes in the vehicle. The pipes were located and seized by officers.
Pierce was cited and released on a summons to appear.
