Accident: Two vehicles totaled Tuesday in crash

No injuries were reported Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 3:09 p.m. a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville, driven by Daysen A. Gregg, 19, of Lenox, was westbound on Highway 34, when it struck a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Kolyn E. Beckwith, 18, of Corning, that was turning north onto Laurel Street from the eastbound lanes of Highway 34.

Impact from the crash caused the Colorado to spin 360 degrees before coming to rest.

Although both drivers said they had a green light, Beckwith failed to yield the right-of-way while making the turn, causing the collision.

Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $5,000 each.
