Creston Police: Landlord reports assault by previous tenant

Erika Tamayo, 36, of Creston, was taken into custody 11:04 a.m. Feb. 24, at her residence on the charge of assault.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 10:20 a.m. a landlord entered a home in the 800 block of West Howard Street, believed to be vacant. Tamayo, the previous resident, had been evicted but was still in the home. As the landlord was gathering property to remove it from the residence, Tamayo shoved them.

Tamayo was cited and released on a summons to appear.

Caleb G. Menefee, 19, of Lenox, and Dawson Z. McMullen, 18, of Murray, were taken into custody 11:09 p.m. Feb. 25, at McKinley Park on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a Creston Police Report, at approximately 10:42 p.m. a 2003 Ford Ranger was observed in McKinley Park after hours. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Menefee, and passenger, identified as McMullen.

A vape and an alcoholic beverage were observed in plain view. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which produced more alcoholic drinks, nicotine vapes, a smoked cigar and two THC vapes. Both occupants were charged for the THC vapes.

Menefee and McMullen were cited and released on summons’ to appear.
