Noah A. Young, 26, homeless, was taken into custody 5:58 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Union County warrant for the charge of attempted burglary, third degree.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13, a resident of an apartment on Manor Drive reported Young was attempting to get into their apartment. Officers observed damage and a boot scuff on the victim’s door. A neighbor witnessed Young trying to get into the apartment and stated Young turned the door handle several times, shaking the door with handle. The neighbor also stated Young kicked the door, threw his body weight into it, was shouting the name of someone who used to live there and said something about coming back and breaking windows. When the neighbor confronted Young, he left.
Young was transported to the Union County Jail and held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
