Wesley G. Keeler Jr., 38, of Creston, was taken into custody 5 p.m. Feb. 9, at Division and Summit streets on a Union County warrant for the charge of violation of probation.

According to a Judicial District Department of Correctional Services report, Keeler was sentenced Sept. 19, 2024, to 180 days in jail after being convicted of domestic abuse assault impeding air or blood flow. The sentence was partially suspended and Keeler was placed on probation for two years.

Keeler reportedly violated the terms of his probation by failing to make any payments toward court-ordered supervision, program and court fees. Keeler was arrested in Union County Jan. 26 and charged with domestic abuse assault impeding air or blood flow. The charge stemmed from a Dec. 19, 2025, incident with a different victim than his previous domestic assault.

Keeler was transported to the Union County Jail and held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
