Douglas Reuter, 70, of Lorimor, was taken into custody Jan. 16, on two counts of sexual abuse, third degree - child victim. According to Union County reports, on Jan. 14 possible sexual abuse of two minor females was reported in Lorimor.
During the investigation, the victims stated sometime in 2022, Reuter had performed sex acts with them at his residence. Reuter is alleged to have inappropriately touched both victims. One victim said Reuter performed oral sex on them and had them perform oral sex on him. It was also said that Reuter digitally penetrated the victims with lubricant.
A search warrant was executed at Reuter’s residence where several bottles of lubricant, condoms and electronic devices were found. Reuter denied all allegations during an interview with Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
Reuter was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from after posting $20,000 cash or surety bond.
The Union County Sheriff’s office says this investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
