Jack H. Davis, 57, of Orient, was taken into custody 5:35 p.m. Jan. 5 on an Iowa Department of Corrections warrant for the charge of violation of parole.
According to a Department of Corrections report, Davis violated the conditions of his parole beginning Oct. 10 when, at a scheduled appointment, he admitted to recent marijuana use and refused a saliva test and urine screen. On Nov. 21, at his scheduled appointment, Davis admitted to recent marijuana use. On Dec. 26 Davis was arrested in Union County and charged with violation of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense and on Dec. 19 he admitted to recent use of methamphetamine and THC.
Davis was held in the Adair County Jail without bond.
